"Promise" by Mike Bankhead shouts out a mix of references at the first listening: Iggy Pop, Green Day, Pavement and even some argentinian punk in the school of Attaque 77. The lazy style of singing contrasts to the intense instrumentals, but this feels like a trademark, a calm phrasing on every word.
A nice song to listen to on a suburban sunday walk!
