“Send Dem Dub,” a 2-minute and 59-second track by Josh Harris (aka DJ Big Feet) in collaboration with King Kong, is a chill and immersive dive into modern roots dub from the USA. Produced by Harris and released via Big Feet Records, the track takes the powerful riddim of “Send Dem Come” and pushes it deep into classic dub territory. Expertly mixed and dubbed by E.N. Young, the production strips back the original vocals to open up a spacious sonic landscape defined by heavy bass, echoing drums, sweeping delays, and shifting instrumental passages. Fragments of King Kong and Torch’s vocals artfully drift in and out of the mix, adding rhythmic texture to the expansive soundscape. The result is a deep, creative, and effortlessly relaxing reinterpretation that honors traditional dub aesthetics while delivering a fresh, atmospheric listening experience.
