Hailing from the USA, Carter Brady’s rock project Viib Slide delivers a potent 3'24'' dose of grunge-infused alternative rock with "Hard on Yourself," a track that immediately grabs attention with its undeniable swagger and driving groove. Channeling the anthemic, wall-of-sound fuzz tones reminiscent of 90s giants like The Smashing Pumpkins, the song masterfully marries raw, dark energy with modern melodic sensibilities and a gritty yet polished production. Beneath its energetic exterior lies a bittersweet emotional spirit, creating a compelling sonic contrast that feels both nostalgically heavy and refreshingly contemporary. As a standout addition to their catalog, "Hard on Yourself" proves that Viib Slide is a formidable force in the modern indie rock landscape, expertly balancing emotive grit with forward-thinking songwriting that demands a permanent spot on any rock playlist.
