The second single from Starwolf’s upcoming, unannounced EP, “Good Together” features the legendary Tim Lefebvre on bass—known for his work with David Bowie, Tedeschi Trucks Band, and Empire of the Sun—and was expertly mixed by Jason Kingsland (Deerhunter, Band of Horses, Washed Out), ensuring a rich, polished soundscape. Hailing from rural Illinois just outside St. Louis, the trio—Tim Moore, Max Sauer, and Chris Rhein—has been crafting their otherworldly blend of funk, pop, and psychedelic-tinged indie since 2016, releasing two acclaimed EPs, Ti Amo, Stargazer (2018) and Astro Lobo (2020). With their next single, “Moon Castle,” set for release in September 2023, and a playful origin story fueled by none other than Huey Lewis himself, Starwolf continues to build a universe of sound that’s as whimsical as it is musically solid—proving that great vibes are always in season.
