“Domestic Bliss” is a raw and aggressive punch of punk-infused grunge from Canadian virtual project ++ Ultra. Clocking in at just over three minutes, the track delivers a relentless chainsaw-like guitar tone, sharp acid riffs, and an intense vocal delivery that channels the early energy of the Red Hot Chili Peppers with a touch of Babasónico's Latin alternative edge. The song paints a chaotic portrait of dysfunctional family life under the glossy guise of TV-perfect domesticity, using its sonic ferocity to mirror the tension beneath the surface. It’s a high-octane anthem that doesn’t hold back, blending punk urgency with grunge introspection and hard rock muscle.

Behind the project is multi-instrumentalist Jason Vander Griendt, who writes, performs, records, and produces every aspect of ++ Ultra from his home studio. Using a mix of physical instruments and digital tools like Reaper DAW and Addictive Drums, Vander Griendt crafts a sound that feels both analog and modern—a gritty yet polished aesthetic that serves the music without losing its rebellious spirit. The name ++ Ultra draws inspiration from Ferdinand Magellan’s daring expedition “beyond the edge,” symbolizing artistic ambition and the push past perceived limits. Just like Magellan’s journey, ++ Ultra ventures into uncharted territory, proving that bold ideas can come from a single creative force working behind the scenes.
