Kazlo Johns - "One or the other"

Kazlo Johns’ "One or the Other" immediately grabs attention with its great bass line, which is both intricate and infectious. The bright string sound that accompanies it adds a layer of sophistication, creating a vibrant foundation for the track. It’s clear from the outset that this isn’t your typical jazz tune—there’s an experimental edge that keeps you hooked.

The horn section takes center stage by tracing bold, memorable melodies that weave seamlessly into the mix. Meanwhile, the syncopated drums generate a sharp, driving groove that propels the track forward with relentless energy. The rhythm section, particularly the drums, adds a level of complexity that elevates the entire composition. What truly stands out, though, is how the crazy and persistent bass line transforms what could have been a more standard jazz track into something far more daring and unpredictable. 

Overall, "One or the Other" is a fascinating proposal of what we can call  "progressive jazz"? The track blends traditional jazz elements with innovative twists, resulting in a sound that feels both familiar and groundbreaking.
