Sinkr "Decoder"

Sounds from UK

22/11/2025 |

Manchester’s Sinkr delivers a punchy, no-frills burst of alt-rock energy with “Decoder,” a 2-minute, 55-second shot of gritty guitar-driven urgency. Opening with squalling feedback and a crisp drum roll, the track wastes no time establishing its raw, unfiltered tone. Rooted firmly in grunge aesthetics but filtered through a modern UK punk sensibility, “Decoder” balances distortion-laden riffs with a surprisingly luminous chorus that cuts through the murk—offering just enough melodic contrast to keep things compelling without softening the edge.

What stands out most is the track’s unpretentious, garage-rock authenticity. Everything feels live, immediate, and deliberately unpolished, as if captured in a single take at a dimly lit rehearsal space in the heart of Manchester. There’s no filler here—just a concise, straight-to-the-point statement that channels the spirit of ‘90s grunge while sounding firmly present. “Decoder” may be short, but it leaves a sharp, lingering impression.
